Early Bird Gets The Worm? Not Anymore-Shiva

In my opinion, I think that they should write resumes, cover letters, and application because when they fill all these, the teacher will know if the kid has passion for that subject or not. If you just give an elective to a kid who doesn’t really care but a person who does care gets rejected, it won’t be fair. At the end the person that wants to be in one of the classes gets put to a class they dislike and they will suffer. If they write these requirements, the teacher will get to know them better an know what type of person they are. Kids at school could think electives are like tryouts for a sport. If the teacher likes what they read, the kid would get accepted. But if he/she thinks the kids writing doesn’t contain enough passion, the kid would get rejected.
To be honest, I think this is the fairest way to decide who will be going to each class because nothing can stop a kid to go to the class they want to go.I don’t think there will be any unfair divisions among students because they are old enough to understand the fact that they got rejected by a better student. Since they are middle school kids, they shouldn’t act like babies but accept that fact.
In conclusion, I think that kids should fill out these sheets before getting assigned to an elective class. I hope these ideas made you think once more made you think.
