Same Gender? Of Course!
I agree with the article from New York Times. A lot of kids nowadays have been distracted talking and chit chatting and not doing their work. They become boyfriend and girlfriend and never pay attention to the teacher. According to the article it states,"Test scores improved enough to remove P.S. 140 from the state’s list of struggling schools," This quote proves that if we separate the boys and girls the students will be focused on their work and not fooling around. If grades improved when this "project" started that means they are doing something right.

In class I even get distracted talking to boys and girls. If they separated us to different classrooms we would have fewer topics to discuss, thus leading to less conversations, and actually doing the work that is staring intently at us. In the story it states "said Samell Little, whose son Gavin is in his second school year surrounded only by boys. “Now I never hear a word from teachers about behavior problems, and when he talks about school, he is actually talking about work.” This quote proves that students will not have any behavioral issues and will only focus on their work. Thus leading to a bright future for the students and the future of America.
