Apprentice Post Joon Task Three

Single Gender? Not the best choice!

I disagree with the principal of P.S for trying to put single gender classes for some reasons. For one, schools have had same gender classes for as long as anyone can remember. Changing it now would not be good for the children. Also, even though you get to form a more closer bond between student-teacher, it is still not right.
Another reason is because it will increase gender stereo types. As the article states,"If you don’t do it thoughtfully, you run the risk of reinforcing stereotypes and playing to students’ weaknesses.” If the students keep on having single gender classes, eventually they will think stereo typically.
So that is why I disagree with the principal of P.S.
