Not everyone has a chance to pick an elective? No Fair!--Surya

In today's blog post,I am going to discuss with you about an article that I read about the fact that some schools have elective services based on first come first serve, while others require students to write résumes and cover letters, and also application forms. I have to take the side of the schools which require students to write ar résume, because it is not a product to order, it is a passion to be pursued;it requires students to have an interest towards their selected elective.I agree with the résume method because this is fair to everyone. Some students may not be able to get into the classes they want, but it is a fair chance to every kid.

If the first come first serve method is used, ten it is unfair to everyone. So students may have a hard time being decisive about what elective they want to do, and some will go and apply quicker thus securing the spot for themselves but not for the other students having a hard time deciding. The writing method is better because it gives everyone a fair chance and improves writing skills. In all,I think that schools should require students to write resumes.

First come first serve? No way!- Sumant

If a student wants to be in an elective class he must really want it and show passion in that field. If their mom forced them to go in that elective they should not be in it, they do whatever their heart desires. You could tell if a student wants to be in the class just by the work he puts into the admission. What I would do is out experience in one class and  people who want it after the resumes.

I personally would want to write all these stuff if I was a student to classes I really want to be in. If you write sloppy work or don't do it, you don't deserve to be in that elective class. If I was a teacher I would want only the best and most passionate students in the field. I personally would take effort over experience any day because the student would work hard. I am Sumant Pottepalem and that was my input on this issue.
